The ‘12:12’ comes from the scripture, 1 Corinthians 12:12, where it talks about one body with many parts. That is exactly what One Body is all about, we are 'One' in the body of Christ but represent different expressions of that one body.
History
One Body was set up in August 2005 as a result of a small group of student and young-adult workers, from several different congregations in Wolverhampton, meeting regularly to discuss how best they could serve the 18-30's in the city for Christ.
One Body’s first venture involved a three strand strategy aimed at new students arriving in Wolverhampton for the new 2005 academic year. One Body hosted a stall at the Fresher Fair promoting churches in Wolverhampton, held a 24/7 prayer week to pray for the university and it’s students and hosted a worship event, ‘One Night’, in one of the city centres night clubs.

A year on and in November 2006 One Body developed to include Children's and Youth networking as well. |
