About the Mozambique Project

We are blessed by the wonderful connection we have with Pentecostal New Life in Christ Church in Dondo, Mozambique. Together we have built a children’s home and started a child sponsorship programme in Mozambique. The LifeSpring family has taken 60 vulnerable children into their hearts and lives and have built a home called “Father’s House of Joy” in the town of Dondo near Beira the second city of Mozambique.

Tony has made regular trips to Mozambique to minister alongside Telmo Paulino who leads a network of churches across his country. He has seen first-hand the plight of countless thousands of vulnerable children. It was in September 2011 in the middle of the LifeSpring building project in Wolverhampton that Tony, whilst ministering in Mozambique, heard God speak to him with a challenge. Tony remembers what happened:

God said to me: “What will you do for my children? If you will take care of my children I will take care of your building”. That was all I needed. I made a promise right there that we would build a home for the orphaned and vulnerable children that Telmo and his people were seeking to help.

The project finally got off the ground in May when the vision was briefly shared one Sunday at LifeSpring Church. It was as if an explosion took place. Within two days and without any effort, all the money needed for the building had come in, a team had volunteered to go out and a project leader had come forward.

Together the two ministries have developed a number of projects and initiatives:
* Children’s home, housing 16 children. £40 a month sponsors a child for their food, clothing and housing.
* Feeding programme. The feeding program provides daily food for 60 children. £10 a month feeds a child every day.
* Business programme. Through small capital loans an increasing number of church members are now running successful businesses providing additional employment for others.
